Happy National Volunteer Week! Today, we would like to spotlight Odyssey Logistics, a long time partner of Junior Achievement of Greater Fairfield County for 10+ years. Thank you to all of the past and present employees at Odyssey who have volunteered their time to support JA throughout the years. We are grateful for your partnership!

Happy National Volunteer Week! For the second year, we partnered with Shelton High School on the JA Inspire/Pathways To Success event. 650 students participated in a Financial Reality Fair hosted by JA and M&T Bank. Students were each given a profile with a specific scenario (salary, debt, children, etc.) and had to make decisions about their spending. They all learned valuable lessons -- some never want to leave their parents' house, and some were begging for more money so they could afford a vacation home! BIG SHOUTOUT to our very own John Namnun for his hard work in building this program. Thank you John! We are lucky to have you as part of our team. In addition, we hosted an interactive career fair experience for the students with 24 vendors in industries like healthcare, education, manufacturing, STEM, and finance. Students, volunteers, and educators gave very positive reports on both experiences.

Happy National Volunteer Week! At JA of Greater Fairfield County, we are extremely fortunate to have an extremely dedicated group of volunteers who help us inspire the next generation year over year. We could not do what we do without our volunteers who are so gracious with sharing their time and talents! Thank you to all of our JAGFC volunteers.

Inspired By Experience; three words that sum up the objective of the Student Experiences produced by JAGFC. Hands-on, interactive learning has been proven to have positive effects on youth. According to a 2022 report conducted by Ipsos, 87% of JA Alumni indicated that participating in JA played an important role in their personal development and self-confidence. We thank our Student Experience sponsors for helping us bring experiences like our JA Stock Market Challenge & JA Inspire to life this year.
