This month's meeting topic is: to be announced.

The TIED Council was developed to serve as resource of trusted advisors. It is a way to help bring an understanding of how technology can enhance business - and that is not as scary as it may seem. It is a forum for collaboration and innovation for Valley technology leaders as well as a way to bring awareness to local resources providing support, answers, education, development, and information in the technology fields. (TIED is an acronym for Technology, Innovation, Education and Development). The TIED Council coordinates regular informative seminars on technology issues affecting area businesses.

Compromised of individuals and companies including but not limited to; Cyber Security, Computer networking, Computer productivity, data usage, internet presence, social media, software training, data analytics and those not in the industry but interested in learning.

The council meets on the first Thursday of each month at 8:00 AM (with exception of holidays when the meeting will be scheduled to a later date in the month). Membership in the Greater Valley Chamber is required for membership in the group; however, anyone is welcome to come to any meeting to learn more about the group or about the topic of the month.

Valley Business Network is a category-exclusive networking group that meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. VBN members represent a variety of industries and professions. The group's objective is to be a forum for relationship building with the goal of helping members to grow their networks. Additionally, VBN helps members become more informed business people, by sharing their expertise and learning from educational presentations provided by members and guest speakers.

Please note: Greater Valley Chamber membership is required. VBN membership is by application and acceptance of the Advisory Board. There is a separate yearly membership fee due upon acceptance.

This month's meeting topic is: Photography with Tina Marie.

The Women In Networking (WIN) Council was formed as a way to share hurdles unique to women in business by providing a warm, friendly atmosphere that is supportive, educational & dynamic. Members are a mix of female entrepreneurs, business owners, and key players in B2B services.

In addition, WIN developed an Entrepreneurial Grant Program for Women In Business in the six Valley communities served by the Greater Valley Chamber. The WIN members host "Headshots at SchmoozaPalooza" and "WINGO" as fundraisers to support this grant and their fund with the Valley Community Foundation. Since the Grant was created over $58,000 has been distributed to 63 women-owned businesses in the #ValleyCT. They also have a named fund through the Valley Community Foundation.

Greater Valley Chamber Membership is required to belong to the group. Area women in business are welcome to attend one meeting as a guest prior to joining. For more information contact the Chamber today.

They meet the 2^nd Tuesday of each month -- Coffee & Networking prior to the start of the meeting. Those looking succeed, achieve & prosper through sharing individual knowledge, skills and resources are welcome.

Seeds to Leads is a category exclusive networking group. Their group goals are to build trusting personal and professional relationships that lead to professional referrals and business success. S2L members hold one another accountable for the services they offer and the professional handling of their cross referrals so they all may continue to grow and prosper. Guest speakers visit to educate them on issues relevant to the times. They meet the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month.

Comprised of individuals and companies in the Healthcare Industry including medical, insurance and care services, the Healthcare Council is a committee of the Greater Valley Chamber with a purpose to educate members, the business community, consumers, and government representatives on ways to reduce employee absenteeism costs, increase worker productivity and reduce overall healthcare costs.

Anyone interested in learning more about the monthly topic is welcome to attend our meetings held the third Friday each month starting at 8:15 am.

Membership in the Greater Valley Chamber is required to become a member of the group. Additional fee applies.

We are re-emerging! Join us for our first in-person event for a fun evening of mini-golf and networking. No experience necessary! Optional post-game snacks and drinks at a local eatery! Event is open to all young professionals, regardless of FUEL Membership. We want to see you!

Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome! Payment via Credit Card online through the online registration, cash or venmo accepted on site!

The FUEL Team acknowledges that COVID-19 is not over. Participation in this event is voluntary. We discourage handshakes and hugs, and ask that everyone be respectful of individual comfort levels as we all re-learn how to navigate social events. We ask that everyone follow CDC guidelines including that unvaccinated people should wear masks.

Close your eyes and imagine a warm summer’s day in July. You’re at one of the nicest golf courses in the state, about to tee off. Shorts, polo shirts and great company….warmer temperatures are finally here and so is the Greater Valley Chamber’s 25th Annual Golf Classic!

Whether entertaining clients, building business relationships with potential customers/vendors, rewarding exemplary employees with time out of the office or generating positive community relations for your organization, you will enjoy a day of camaraderie and sport while supporting the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce. Fore, where there is golf, there is business.

The format is a four-person scramble, and awards are given to the top teams, the longest drive (men & ladies), closest to the pin (men & ladies), closest to the line (men & ladies), and more. Registration includes 18-holes of golf, cart, breakfast, lunch, and beverages on the course.

Back by popular demand is our 9:00 am Shotgun start with check-in starting at 8:00 am so you can be home in time to enjoy your evening with family and friends.

As you know we are working hard to provide not only a fun day out on the course and will be bringing back the ever-popular Power Play 50/50 Pack along with the Table on the Tee Sponsorship opportunity.

Get in early for premium sponsorship exposure. Limited Sponsorships are still available ranging from $200 - $3000. Contact Nancie or Laura for complete information on sponsorship opportunities.

Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Spaces are limited. Tournament is played rain or shine, but may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions at the discretion of the course. Registration is good for the tournament date requested and confirmed only. Fee is non-refundable. Entries with less than 4 (four) players will be paired by the tournament committee. Please note: The Chamber & the Course will be following the State of Connecticut ReOpen Guidelines/Protocols.

Funds raised by this event are used to further the Chamber's mission of creating a strong local economy, promoting the Greater Valley region, advocating on behalf of local businesses, and connecting area business people.

As a reminder, we will be observing all social distancing and safety guidelines.
