Valley Business Network is a category-exclusive networking group that meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. VBN members represent a variety of industries and professions. The group's objective is to be a forum for relationship building with the goal of helping members to grow their networks. This month's meeting topic is: to be announced.

The TIED Council was developed to serve as resource of trusted advisors. It is a way to help bring an understanding of how technology can enhance business - and that is not as scary as it may seem. It is a forum for collaboration and innovation for Valley technology leaders as well as a way to bring awareness to local resources providing support, answers, education, development, and information in the technology fields. (TIED is an acronym for Technology, Innovation, Education and Development). The TIED Council coordinates regular informative seminars on technology issues affecting area businesses.

Compromised of individuals and companies including but not limited to; Cyber Security, Computer networking, Computer productivity, data usage, internet presence, social media, software training, data analytics and those not in the industry but interested in learning.

The council meets on the first Thursday of each month at 8:00 AM (with exception of holidays when the meeting will be scheduled to a later date in the month). Membership in the Greater Valley Chamber is required for membership in the group; however, anyone is welcome to come to any meeting to learn more about the group or about the topic of the month.

This month features a special presentation by Dr. Stephanie Soalt, Gut/Brain Health: Destress and Improve Your Mood.

The Women In Networking (WIN) Council was formed as a way to share hurdles unique to women in business by providing a warm, friendly atmosphere that is supportive, educational & dynamic. Members are a mix of female entrepreneurs, business owners, and key players in B2B services.

In addition, WIN developed an Entrepreneurial Grant Program for Women In Business in the six Valley communities served by the Greater Valley Chamber. a variety of fundraisers to support this grant and their fund with the Valley Community Foundation. Since the Grant was created over $58,000 has been distributed to 63 women-owned businesses in the #ValleyCT. They also have a named fund through the Valley Community Foundation.

Greater Valley Chamber Membership is required to belong to the group. Area women in business are welcome to attend one meeting as a guest prior to joining. For more information contact the Chamber today.

Seeds to Leads is a category exclusive networking group. Their group goals are to build trusting personal and professional relationships that lead to professional referrals and business success. S2L members hold one another accountable for the services they offer and the professional handling of their cross referrals so they all may continue to grow and prosper. We are thrilled to announce the return visit of an area favorite: John Traynor, Chief Investment Officer and an Executive Vice President, People's United Advisors. This year, we are also excited to have Patrick Flaherty, Director of Research, Connecticut Department of Labor who will help us understand the changing dynamics in the labor market.

This program will be hosted on Airmeet which allows our attendees the opportunity to network before & after the presentations just like our live Breakfast Club events.

When you enter the "Social Lounge" you can choose a seat at any table and enjoy networking with the others at that table - there can be up to 8 people at each table. Feel free to move between tables, just like you would prior to the start of any event. There will be an announcement on the screen letting you know that the presentation is about to begin.

During the presentation, table networking is suspended and you will only hear the speakers on the stage. Please feel free to post any questions in the chat area. Time permitting we will either invite those with questions to the stage to ask your question - or just read the questions.

After the program ends the Social Lounge will reopen and you can stay for a few minutes to wrap up conversations or say hello to others still online.

Come down to the Webster Bank Arena on Tuesday, February 15th for the Bridgeport Islanders 6th Annual Multi-Chamber Networking Event. Join members from the Greater Valley Chamber, BRBC, Greater New Haven Chamber, Norwalk, Milford, Stamford, Fairfield Chambers of Commerce and their associated Young Professionals Groups for a social gathering in the Masons Bar hospitality space and stay for the game (Bridgeport Islanders vs Rochester Americans).

Entry price is $30 per person which includes networking, Bridgeport Islanders game ticket, appetizers, one (1) drink ticket, plus a Bridgeport Islanders Hat.

The event will start at 5:30PM with puck drop at 7:00PM.

Parking is available in the parking garage on South Frontage Road or parking lots across the street from the Arena. Parking in these facilities is an additional $10. Assorted street parking is also available.

As a reminder, Webster Bank Arena is a cashless venue.

Ticket Delivery:

You will receive an email from Fevo following your purchase with instructions on how to access your ticket(s) on your Webster Bank Arena account to pull up on your mobile device. Also following your purchase you're given a unique link to add to your group. COVID Protocol:

Any attendee age 12 and older for 2021-22 Bridgeport Islanders games at Webster Bank Arena must present any one of the following to gain entry:

-Proof of full vaccination, which means your final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has been administered at least 14 days before game day.

-Proof of a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken within 6 hours of the start of the game.

-Proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of game day.

The City of Bridgeport currently requires all attendees to wear a face mask while inside the arena.

During this event, you will be connected to other Chamber members for one-on-one video networking. Each conversation will last 7 minutes and there will be a 30 second break in between each. We will start and end the session with a brief message from the Chamber.

This virtual platform is nothing like Zoom. It is an online version of speed networking and is very user friendly. The register now link will take you directly to the Blitzr home page to officially register to attend this event. Registration is limited to 25 attendees.
