Valley Business Network is a category-exclusive networking group that meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. VBN members represent a variety of industries and professions. The group's objective is to be a forum for relationship building with the goal of helping members to grow their networks. Additionally, VBN helps members become more informed business people, by sharing their expertise and learning from educational presentations provided by members and guest speakers.

The TIED Council was developed to serve as resource of trusted advisors. It is a way to help bring an understanding of how technology can enhance business - and that is not as scary as it may seem. It is a forum for collaboration and innovation for Valley technology leaders as well as a way to bring awareness to local resources providing support, answers, education, development, and information in the technology fields. (TIED is an acronym for Technology, Innovation, Education and Development). The TIED Council coordinates regular informative seminars on technology issues affecting area businesses.

Compromised of individuals and companies including but not limited to; Cyber Security, Computer networking, Computer productivity, data usage, internet presence, social media, software training, data analytics and those not in the industry but interested in learning.

The council meets on the first Thursday of each month at 8:15 AM. Membership in the Greater Valley Chamber is required for membership in the group; however, anyone is welcome to come to any meeting to learn more about the group or about the topic of the month.

The Women In Networking (WIN) Council was formed as a way to share hurdles unique to women in business by providing a warm, friendly atmosphere that is supportive, educational & dynamic. Members are a mix of female entrepreneurs, business owners, and key players in B2B services. They meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month -- Coffee & Networking prior to the start of the meeting. Those looking succeed, achieve & prosper through sharing individual knowledge, skills and resources are welcome.

In addition, WIN developed an Entrepreneurial Grant Program for Women In Business in the six Valley communities served by the Greater Valley Chamber. a variety of fundraisers to support this grant and their fund with the Valley Community Foundation. Since the Grant was created over $78,000 has been distributed to 86 women-owned businesses in our #ValleyCT. They also have a named fund through the Valley Community Foundation.

Seeds to Leads is a category exclusive networking group. Their group goals are to build trusting personal and professional relationships that lead to professional referrals and business success. S2L members hold one another accountable for the services they offer and the professional handling of their cross referrals so they all may continue to grow and prosper. Guest speakers visit to educate them on issues relevant to the times. They meet the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month.

It's our 60th Annual Meeting! Join us as we head back to our roots in the City of Derby.

Our Keynote Speaker at this Special Event will be Larry Bingaman, President & CEO of the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority (RWA), which this year is celebrating their 175th year of service to our region. Larry will discuss Conscious Capitalism, a concept that was coined and popularized by John Mackey, co-founder of Whole Foods and Babson College Professor Raj Sisoda in their ground-breaking book, Conscious Capitalism: Liberating the Heroic Spirit of Business.

Larry leads RWA with a focus on sustainable, conscious business practices that grow and preserve the region’s rich natural resources. As a thought leader and change agent, Larry understands the value of elevating the strengths of ALL stakeholders and has deep experience serving on a variety of public, private, nonprofit, and community boards. Larry is one of the first 100 founding members of the Conscious Capitalism Senior Leader Network, and founder and Board Chair Emeritus for the Connecticut Chapter of Conscious Capitalism.

In addition to the special keynote presentation, there will be the election of the 2024-2025 Board of Directors. We will also be recognizing the Regional Water Authority's 175th Milestone!
